My name is Heather Boyer.
Back in June of 2019, I moved from the heart of the Midwest in the USA, and ended up 6,000 miles east in the country of Israel.
When people ask me, “WHY?” I smile and reply, “I met a boy.”
In the summer of 2016, I met the love of my life on a high ropes course in Sarasota, FL.
And it turned out that, well, he’s a native Israeli.
So – I moved here. And now we’re sharing and building a life together in the north of Israel, near the city of Haifa.
As you can imagine, every day since then has been a daunting process of self-reinvention and I have been leveraging every skill in my arsenal, no matter how unrelated.
After months of scrambling around, trying to pick just one skill set or persona to focus on or brand, I’ve decided to just simply … be myself.
So, here’s who I am:
A Writer

So after a ten-year foray into the professional world of bookkeeping, I dusted off my journalism degree and returned to my writing roots.
Guess who I serve the most? Bookkeepers and accountants.
Because of my unique cross-over of experience, I’m tailor-made to help talented numbers peoples with writing all their online words: social media posts, website content, branding taglines, you name it. And I love it.
If that sounds like something you could use, you can check me out on my Facebook page, Pukkapith Content. Or just shoot me an email me at heather@pukka-pith.com.
An Artist

I use Israeli waters to paint the beauty of Israel with my award-winning watercolor skills.
Yup – actual waters from Israel. Freshwater from the Sea of Galilee and Jordan River, saltwater from the Mediterranean and Red Sea, I use those waters to paint abstracts and landscapes of Israel.
(And I also just doodle and experiment, as the whimsy strikes me. Lately I’ve really been diggin’ gouache, and I have a life-long love affair with microscopic sizes of Micron pens)
Feel free to follow my process on Instagram or Facebook (@oxandtinder) or visit my Etsy shop at Ox and Tinder Watercolor.
An Ex-Pat

Months before I moved to Israel in June of 2019, I started to tell stories online about my move.
As it turns out, there’s way more to an inter-continental move than just a plane ticket and a dream.
